The Austin Rangers topped the Buckhead Bowties, 4-3, in Silver League action at Rangers Stadium. The player of the game was Austin pitcher Art Adams. Júlio Rodríguez earned his 26th save in 29 chances. Austin now has a 3-game win streak.
In the bottom of the 8th, designated hitter Jesús Reyes gave Austin the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Rangers had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Buckhead pitcher Joshua Long changed that -- and Austin went on to win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Reyes, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
