1837 BBC Bang Out 9-3 Win Versus Toledo
|
The Houston 1837 BBC dealt the Toledo Stingers a 9-3 loss at Pacesetter Park. Jason Alexander was the star on offense. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Houston reliever Luis Zaragoza picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Arnie Pittman was saddled with the loss. With the win, Houston has a record of 43-63. Toledo falls to 57-49.
Alexander had a game-changing home run in the top of the fifth. On a 0-1 forkball from Arnie Pittman, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the 1837 BBC a 5-2 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Alexander.
"We came out aggressive," said Houston 1837 BBC manager Tyler Johnson. "We came out swinging the bats."
