Cattlemen Win Again, Extend Streak to 7
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen picked up a win at Boeing Dome, knocking off the Seattle Aviators, 4-1. Starting pitcher Juan Díaz, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Cattlemen have now won 7 straight.
Ft. Worth took a 4-1 lead on Nobuo Yamashita's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Seattle pitcher Ken Hinkle in the top of the seventh.
"We were in it," said Seattle manager Mau Delgado. "We just didn't score enough runs."
