With designated hitter Jesús Reyes leading the charge, the Austin Rangers defeated the Houston 1837 BBC, 8-3, at Rangers Stadium. Reyes, who is tied for 5th in the SL in RBI with 59, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Austin now sits in third place in the Division II at 54-43.

The Rangers got a big at-bat from Count Dante. For the game, Dante was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Austin a 4-2 lead.
