Sullivan Goes Distance in 4-1 Win
|
The Austin Rangers topped the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 4-1, in Silver League action at The Cattle Pen. The player of the game was Austin pitcher and North Richland Hills, Texas native Lester Sullivan. Austin goes to 53-43, Ft. Worth to 50-46.
Sullivan earned the win to move to 2-0. In his 9-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Cattlemen few scoring opportunities.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Austin manager Jordan Calhoun. "Our pregame was pretty good."
