Martin Given 4-Game Suspension Friday, July 4th, 2025 Ottawa center fielder Warren Martin was ejected in the game between the Nationals and Thunder Hawks for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Martin was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Martin said in the locker room after the game. Now Martin must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Martin has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 4 games." Currently Martin is batting .327 with 1 home run and 16 RBIs. |
