Boccanegra Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but António Boccanegra got one today. He scattered hits all over Doubledays Stadium to pace Pure Michigan to a 5-4 victory over Tremont. The Tremont skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Boccanegra hit several that he is not supposed to hit." António Boccanegra hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
