SAAA's Top Player Named Monday, September 15th, 2025 23-year-old José Vázquez made a few Ellenburg headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Vázquez collected no home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This season Vázquez is batting .323 with 54 hits, 2 home runs, 27 RBIs, 19 walks, .396 OBP and has scored 29 runs. He has played in 51 games. |
