Porter Torches Golden Cranes for 5 Hits Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Eric Porter showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes and helped the Brinkley Belugas beat them 5-2. The manager for the Golden Cranes told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Porter keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Eric Porter doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Hitting .429 to date, Porter has no home runs and 2 RBIs. He has played in 5 games. |
