Barrios Wins Rookie of the Year Honor Monday, November 3rd, 2025 The premier rookie performer in the Third League was Hartford center fielder Jorge Barrios. He was honored today by league officials as the 2025 Newcomer of the Year Award winner. Barrios put up some good numbers, including a .276 batting average and .440 on-base percentage, while racking up 10 home runs, 52 RBIs and 59 runs scored. Carlos Padilla of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC finished second in voting, while Sergio Ortíz of the Capital District Red Knights finished third. |
