Big Bat Pays Off, Velázquez Player of the Week Monday, September 15th, 2025 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Third League, but last week Luis Velázquez of the Louisville BC reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Velázquez rocked opposing pitching for a .333 average (4-for-12), 3 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. In 99 games this season Velázquez has batted at a .247 pace with 99 hits and 25 home runs. |
