Piranhas, Buckner Blank Retrievers Saturday, August 30th, 2025 In an almost effortless performance, Kirby Buckner of the Piranhas shot down the Retrievers 2-0 on a 3-hit shutout. His skipper said, "Kirby was just locating so well and using his pitches... not leaving anything over the plate." Buckner recorded 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, the Northern Virginia manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him."
