Patriots Take Down Grey Wolves, 6-2
Fans who gathered at Dunkin Donuts Park saw a good contest between the Boston Patriots and Vancouver Grey Wolves.

Boston starter Eugene Clarkston pitched effectively against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Dunkin Donuts Park. The left-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Clarkston, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. Jeff Territt picked up the save for Boston, his 1st of the year.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, center fielder Tommy Jones came through big-time for the Patriots. With Boston leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.

Vancouver manager David Krause said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

Boston improves to 10-8 as they look to defend their championship.
