Nishimura Helps Thundercats Run Win Streak to 6
Richardson City and Atlanta duked it out at The Thunder Dome and the Thundercats came out victorious.

The Richardson City Thundercats grabbed a 10-3 win over the Atlanta Smoke at The Thunder Dome. Richardson City first baseman Seishiro Nishimura hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Eduardo Díaz, who threw 93 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits.

Nishimura came through with some timely hitting for Richardson City. With the score 4-1 in the bottom of the third and two down, Nishimura hit a 1-2 slider for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Thundercats managed to win.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Nishimura said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."

The Richardson City Thundercats, now 13-3, have been red hot.
