The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With D.C. trailing 6-4, Wilfred McLaughlin hit a fastball from Mark Simmons to left for a bases-clearing double. Just like that, the Divided had a walk-off win.

In postgame comments to the D.C. Herald, McLaughlin said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Game 7 is set to be played on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 at Washington Stadium. Slated to start are José García for the Oaks and Yoriyoshi Yamamoto for the Divided.
