Hialeah pitcher Lucas Begay gave the Lake Monsters all they could handle, but in the end, Vermont left Monster Field with a 4-3 win. Begay allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings. Vermont has now reeled off 7 straight wins.

Vermont won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. That's when designated hitter Bronson Nicholls hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Lake Monsters fans to their feet.
