Benefiting from Eduardo Frantz's productive game, the Washington Generals downed the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 5-3. Frantz was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Generals. Washington reliever Marco Sledge was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Manuel Torres took the loss for Yellowknife. Dorian Roberts was credited with the save for Washington, his 4th of the season.
A defensive miscue in the top of the third could have cost the Generals. With Washington trailing 2-0, Raúl García reached on an error by the P. In the end, Washington was still able to win the ballgame.
"We did enough to win," said Frantz.
With the win, the Generals improved to 47-46.
