Retrievers Lose to Thundercats, 3-0
|
Richardson City pitcher Alec Pittman did his part in helping his team beat the Northern Virginia Retrievers, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Pittman, now 3-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Richardson City, now 10-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
In the top of the second, Mitch Qualtrough hit a run-scoring triple for Richardson City. The 2nd triple of the season for the Richardson City shortstop put the Thundercats on top, 1-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Richardson City manager Imran Kopitar.
