Airmen Losing Streak at 5 after Extra-Inning Loss to Tula
|
The Chicago Tula outlasted the Alameda Airmen in an extra-inning thriller.
The Chicago Tula topped the Alameda Airmen, 4-3, in USPL Single A action at Alameda Field. The player of the game was Chicago pitcher António Rúbio. Chicago reliever Howard Vidaurri picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Billy Mays shouldered the loss.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 12th inning. With two out, Paul Dawsey hit a 0-1 fastball from Billy Mays for a run-scoring single. It put Chicago in front, 4-3.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Manuel Hernández.
