Black Cats Get Past Mancelona for 2-1 Win
The Mancelona Torch got a superb performance from pitcher Arturo Guerrero, but the Black Cats still won the game, 2-1. Guerrero was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Gwinnett County reliever Héctor Salazar was credited with the win, to go to 4-2. Arturo Guerrero took the loss for Mancelona. Ricardo Ramírez recorded his 12th save for Gwinnett County.

Gwinnett County took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Dave Shaw stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Black Cats.

"We did enough to win," said Shaw.

At 33-25, the Black Cats find themselves in third place in the Premier A.
