Generals Fall to .500 After Loss to Blaze
|
South Beach Blaze starter Valentín Rivera turned in a top-notch performance against the Washington Generals at The Ballpark on the Beach. The result was a win for the Blaze, 3-2. Picking up the save was Luis Ochoa, his 4th. South Beach, at 32-24, sits in third place in the Premier A.
Mark Keys dealt the Generals a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and South Beach leading 2-0, Keys, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, hit a 1-1 changeup for a run-scoring single.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Felipe Tańón.
