The Bowties faced a stiff challenge from Panama City pitcher Pedro Alejándrez, but persevered to claim a win at Buckhead Grounds. The final score was 3-2. Alejándrez went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Joshua Long, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The Piranhas fall to 4-9 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.

In the bottom of the 8th, designated hitter Albert Morales gave Buckhead the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bowties had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Panama City pitcher Juan Pérez changed that -- and Buckhead went on to win.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Brian Kendall.
