Blaze Prevail, 7-3, Over Walla Walla

South Beach and Walla Walla duked it out at The Ballpark on the Beach and the Blaze came out victorious.
The Walla Walla Walleye got a superb performance from left fielder Isuru Tanaka, but the Blaze still won the game, 7-3. Tanaka was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. Gob Bluth was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Héctor Tista closed it out for his 1st save.
José Rico aided the South Beach cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rico. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
South Beach now owns a record of 29-20.
