Late Rally by Tula Secures Win
The Chicago Tula beat the South Beach Blaze, 6-5, at Ramblers Ballpark. The Tula got a fine performance from third baseman Héctor Rivera, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chicago reliever Obadiah Small picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Ricardo Gómez took the loss. The first-place Tula have a one-game lead in their division.

Chicago won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's when pinch hitter Gerald Kaufman hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Tula fans to their feet.

"This place sure got loud," said Pierre Muller, the Chicago manager.
