South Beach Blaze starter Mark Sanders pitched a strong game against the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field, leading the Blaze to a 4-3 win. At 26-16, the Blaze find themselves in third place in the Premier A.

Wade Killefer aided the South Beach cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the shortstop was 4 for 5 with 4 singles.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Sanders told reporters after the game.
