Houser Brings A-Game, Airmen Beat Black Cats
|
In a well-pitched game between the Alameda Airmen and the Gwinnett County Black Cats, pitcher Mal Houser was fantastic. The Alameda right-hander was named the player of the game in Alameda's 1-0 win. Reynaldo Maestas earned the save for Alameda, his 3rd of the year. The last-place Airmen improved to 15-24.
Houser gave Alameda a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Houser said.
