Ortega, South Beach Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
In a low-scoring contest between the South Beach Blaze and the Chicago Tula, pitcher Carlos Ortega was excellent. The South Beach right-hander was named the player of the game in South Beach's 1-0 win. The Blaze own a robust 13-7 mark.

Ortega, a native of Leticia, Colombia, was dealing all game. He kept Chicago hitters off-balance, while giving the Blaze 7.2 quality innings. Ortega threw 107 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.

"It feels good to get this one," Ortega told the South Beach Bulletin.
