Generals Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Washington Generals faced a tough opponent in Yellowknife pitcher Kelsey MacGillivary, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Dragon Den by a final score of 6-4. MacGillivary went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The winner was Washington reliever Jesús Salazar, now 1-2. The loser was Derrick Quispe. The win leaves Washington with a record of 9-10.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Manny Cardoza hit a first pitch fastball from Derrick Quispe for a 2-run single. It put Washington in front, 6-4.

"It was a test of wills," said Felipe Tañón, the Washington skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
