South Beach got an elite performance from starting pitcher Mark Sanders in taking a 1-0 decision over the Mancelona Torch. Ángel Ruíz closed it out for his 2nd save. The Torch fall to 7-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.

Sanders earned the win, going 8 strong innings for South Beach. The native of Waldorf, Maryland allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 9. Mancelona hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
