Late Rally by Reapers Secures Win
The Grim Reapers topped the Connetquot Chiefs, 4-1, in USSL Single A action at The Big Teepee. The player of the game was Grim pitcher and St. Marys, Pennsylvania native Mack MacDonald. Grim reliever Johnnie Bough picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Powell Beauregard shouldered the loss. The Reapers improved to 44-40.

Earnest Vater found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Connetquot hurler Powell Beauregard, the 21-year-old center fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs. His 13th RBI of the season put the Reapers on top, 2-0.

Vater told local reporters: "We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one. We've got to keep it going."
