Late Rally by Reapers Seals 5th Straight Win
|
Starting pitcher Darius Baxa pitched well enough to help the Grim Reapers beat the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 by the score of 4-3. Steve Seabolt got credit for the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Stu Noble earned the save, his 25th.
Marcos Martínez had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Reapers. Coming up with the bases loaded and Grim trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run double.
"This team is real focused right now," said Grim Reapers manager .
The Reapers move to 43-38 with the win, while the Hotspur U-21 drop to 29-52.
