Grim Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
The Nebraska Plainsmen defeated the Grim Reapers, 5-0, in USSL Single A action at Plain Old Stadium, with Nebraska pitcher Daniel Mack named player of the game. Nebraska now owns a record of 33-43.
Amos Bies was a key contributor to the win for the Plainsmen. In the bottom of the second with one out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a double to left. He was 1-2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
Mack told the Nebraska Herald: "I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more.' You win just by scoring more runs."
