Dragoons Suffer 5-4 Setback
The Nebraska Plainsmen did just enough to sneak past the Louisiana Dragoons, 5-4, at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Nebraska pitcher Kent Scalici earned player of the game honors. The win puts the Plainsmen at 32-40, while the Dragoons drop to 32-40.

In the top of the 2nd, the Plainsmen grabbed the lead when Lorenzo Ruíz rapped a two-out home run. Nebraska was trailing 3-2, when Ruíz hit a 3-run home run off Nathan Moree to put his team in front, 5-3.

Ruíz said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
