Chiefs Edge Grim in Pitching Duel

The Chiefs had to overcome a fine effort from Grim pitcher Ramón Castaneda to grab a 1-0 win at The Coffin. Castaneda went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Mario Hurrado was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The win puts the Chiefs at 43-26, while the Reapers drop to 35-34.
Otis Brewer, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the seventh. That's when he connected on a fastball from Johnnie Bough for a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season put Connetquot in front, 1-0.
"We did just enough to win," said Brewer.
