The Connetquot Chiefs downed the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 5-4, at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The Chiefs were led by Sang Hong-Do, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Powell Beauregard got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Earning his 18th save of the year was Carlos Rosales.
Connetquot grabbed the momentum in the top of the eighth, when Hong-Do, who is tied for 4th in the SA with a .771 OPS, hit a 2-run home run. His 5th home run put the Chiefs out in front, 5-4.
