It was a good time at The Coffin, where fans came to watch the Syracuse Storm and Grim Reapers get after it.
The Grim Reapers picked up a win at The Coffin, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 5-3. Starting pitcher Mack MacDonald, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was MacDonald, now 7-4. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8.
In the bottom of the 7th, left fielder Martín Cruz gave Grim the lead when he hit a 2-run triple. The Reapers had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out triple off Syracuse pitcher Morihiro Sai changed that -- and Grim went on to win.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said MacDonald.
Grim, at 24-29, occupies 7th place in the Silver A.
