Divided Defeat Patriots, 6-3
The D.C. Divided beat the Boston Patriots, 6-3, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Tony Romero, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Earning his 5th save for D.C. was Gabriel Hidalgo. The D.C. Divided, now 10-2, have had a terrific start to the season.

Mike Gardner also delivered for the Divided. The veteran right fielder belted a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. The longball put D.C. on top, 5-2. Overall, Gardner went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Romero said after the game.
