Reapers Cut Down Plainsmen, 3-2
|
Grim Reapers starter Luis Hernández turned in an exceptional performance against the Nebraska Plainsmen at The Coffin, resulting in a Grim win, 3-2. Hernández, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Getting the save was Stu Noble, his 10th.
Early in the game, third baseman Steve Costillo had a 2-run triple for Grim. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Reapers on top, 2-1.
"Luis was throwing free and easy," said Grim manager .
The Plainsmen, at 17-21, have lost 4 in a row.
