Cauldrons Pin 5-3 Loss on Plainsmen

The Hogsmeade Cauldrons picked up a win at Plain Old Stadium, knocking off the Nebraska Plainsmen, 5-3. Starting pitcher Bradley Roth, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Casey Dagher locked down his 5th save. Hogsmeade has an impressive 24-12 record.
Robinson Barquero dealt the Plainsmen a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Hogsmeade leading 2-1, Barquero, who is tied for 2nd in the SA in runs scored with 19, hit a first pitch splitter for a 2-run single.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Hogsmeade manager Steve Hawkins.
