Herons Deal Chiefs 5-1 Setback
The Hammond Herons went home winners at The Big Teepee, thanks in large part to starter Shuntavyious Primes-Willes. Primes-Willes silenced the Connetquot Chiefs, enabling Hammond to grab the 5-1 win. Primes-Willes, now 7-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. The Herons, at 23-7, sit in first place in the Silver A.

Mark Frisby was a key contributor to the win for the Herons. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to left. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
