Hammond Bats Go Silent in 6-0 Loss
Syracuse Storm starter Bob Browning turned in an exceptional performance against the Hammond Herons at The Heron Refuge, resulting in a Syracuse win, 6-0. Browning was the winning pitcher and moves to 5-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. With the win, the Storm improved to 15-11.

Syracuse took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Lúcio Gonzáles stroked a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Storm.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Hammond manager Raúl Aguilar.
