Herons Come Back Late to Clip Storm
|
Benefiting from the performance of José Jarca, the Hammond Herons defeated the Syracuse Storm, 4-2. Jarca went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Herons. The Herons boast a remarkable 20-5 record.
Jarca had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 curveball from Alejandro Reyes, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Herons a 4-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Jarca.
"We found a way to get it done," Jarca said.
