Bulls Take 10-1 Pounding
|
The Louisiana Dragoons got a stellar performance from pitcher Ramón Martínez, who handcuffed the Mt. Vernon offense en route to a 10-1 win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Martínez was the winning pitcher and moves to 1-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Louisiana has a 3-game win streak, while Mt. Vernon has lost 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the second inning, first baseman Wessel Wemerman came through big-time for the Dragoons. With Louisiana leading 3-0, he belted a grand slam home run.
"It's a mindset," said Martínez. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
