Plainsmen Get One-Run Win at Louisiana
|
Nebraska and Louisiana duked it out at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium and the Plainsmen came out victorious.
The Nebraska Plainsmen defeated the Louisiana Dragoons, 7-3, at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Nebraska left fielder Jim Unknown was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Getting the save was Enrique Castillo, his 1st.
Bryce Honour's at-bat in the top of the fourth was significant for the Plainsmen. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Nebraska leading 1-0, the right fielder grounded out, driving in 1 run.
In comments to the Nebraska Herald, Honour insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
Nebraska, now 6-2, has played well in the early going.
