Herons Rally For Late Win Over Reapers
The Hammond Herons eeked out a 3-2 win versus the Grim Reapers at The Heron Refuge. Nobody did more than pitcher Rust Cohle, who captured player of the game honors. With the loss, Grim falls to 0-2.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Hammond trailing 2-1, José Jarca hit a fastball from Stu Noble to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Herons had a walk-off win.

Said Hammond manager Raúl Aguilar: "I tell our guys all the time: 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction.'"
