Bruins Shut Out Caterpillars
Awad Mahmudnizhad could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Grand Forks Caterpillars lost, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Bellevue Bruins at Bellevue Field. Tyrique McGhee picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Awad Mahmudnizhad was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Will Moore, his 7th.

There was more than one reason the Bruins beat the Caterpillars, but one factor was Mitchell Cusimano. In the bottom of the seventh, the Bellevue third baseman came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Cusimano.

The Bruins saw their win-loss record go to 46-50. At the same time, the Caterpillars fall to 41-55.
