The Expos took Galesburg pitcher Tex Estes's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Galesburg Field. The final score was 3-2. Estes went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Earning his 16th save for Niagara Falls was Cherles Gachineiro. The Expos are now 43-49, while the Guzzlers fall to 48-44.

Niagara Falls grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Enrico Mejía delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Expos.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Galesburg manager Roberto Ybarra.
