Victory Over Mango Takes Delaware to 54-22
|
The Delaware 1787 BC picked up a win at Mango Yard, knocking off the Provo Mango, 3-2. Starting pitcher António Rodríguez played a key role in the triumph. Rodríguez got the win, improving to 8-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 4 over 6.2 innings. Rodríguez allowed 2 earned runs. Apollo Cepeda recorded his 26th save for Delaware.
Delaware took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Wilson Vega hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, 1787 BC.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Delaware manager Henry Russell. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Provo has now lost 5 straight.
