L'Ouverture Stars for Guzzlers in 7-2 Win
The Galesburg Guzzlers downed the Bellevue Bruins, 7-2, at Galesburg Field. Toussiant L'Ouverture led the way, going 3-for-4 for Galesburg. Miguel Cervantes was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. The 4th-place Guzzlers now have a 4-game winning streak.

L'Ouverture had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the first. On a 1-1 fastball from Roosevelt Guimond, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Guzzlers a 4-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for L'Ouverture.
