Bellevue turned a good effort from starter Roosevelt Guimond into a win over the Kennesaw Jets at Bellevue Field. The final score was 4-1. The 6th-place Jets have lost 7 straight games.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the first inning when the Bruins sent teenager Loren Stallings to the plate against Jets hurler Phil Miller. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a first pitch fastball to score 2.

"It feels good to get that win," said Stallings. "Now it's on to the next one."
